Hot Toys 1/6th scale Avengers: Age of Ultron: Hawkeye

Hot Toys 1/6th scale Avengers: Age of Ultron: Hawkeye
Released: September 2015

Manufactured by: Hot Toys

The Age of Ultron is still upon us as Hot Toys continues to release figures from this movie and this month comes Hawkeye. Hawkeye is one of the only characters to get one release prior to this figure coming out. The first Hawkeye was highly sought after so its nice to finally get Hawkeye at an affordable price.

As usual Hot Toys has done an outstanding job on the details. The head sculpt looks great and captures the grumpy demeanor Jeremy Renner brings to the character. I don't have the first figure to compare it to, but I have read and seen that the original Hawkeye sculpt doesn't even compare to this much needed improvement.

Costume wise this figure comes all the usual high attention to detail you would expect from Hot Toys. It would have been nice to have the option to have Hawkeye in his sleeveless look since he did sport that style in the film as well as his long sleeve look. Still, this costume is great.

He doesn't come with much accessories other than his sunglasses, bow, bow without string, four set of right hands, two sets of left hands, Avengers base, and a ton of arrow heads. The arrow and quiver set up was actually very time consuming and is a very delicate process. The arrow shafts are made of plastic so if you aren't careful you could snap them.

All in all this is a good collection to add to your Avengers figures, but if you aren't into Avengers, Marvel, or Jeremy Renner, then you could pass on this. I'm also certain that the next Hawkeye figure probably won't change too much for Civil War so if you need Hawkeye now and are happy with this head sculpt then I would get on this. Otherwise, its possible you may not like the new design and be in a situation like the Black Widow figure is in.
