I'm back again with another quick review, and this time I'm going to take a look at Kotobukiya's Ani Statue line from their Evangelion collection. This figure is of Asuka and is taken from her appearance from the third re-envisioned Evangelion movie, Evangelion 3.0: You Can (Not) Redo. She sits atop a bust of her EVA Unit-02 and is holding her helmet in one hand. The plug suit she is wearing is the one she wears in the beginning of the movie and not the white and red plug suit she wears later in the film. This figure comes in a clear, translucent box, and it comes with the figure, the small bust, and her helmet. The figure sits atop of the bust and sits very well. The helmet is an optional accessory that can be displayed with her holding it. After having this figure for awhile, I have found that the helmet can be very difficult to put back in her hand so it make take some patience to get her hand to hold it again. Regardless, the paint apps are great and really shine on her red bandages that gives it a real fabric look. The EVA Unit-02 also looks great and is a nice touch to this figure. Size wise it is about 18 inches. I've included a size photo of a 100% Bearbrick and a 400% Bearbrick to show the scale. This figure is a nice addition to any Evangelion collection especially for all the Asuka fans. You can still buy this figure from Kotobukiya's website or wait for the inevitable figures from Evangelion 4.0. That's it for now but stay tuned for more posts...
